This is a custom one of a kind vest constructed of vintage Hungarian materials that I created in Budapest. The base is a 1960's black felt floral embroidered vest made in Hungary. I applied embroidery and crotchet elements from Hungary reconstructed from vintage napkins and coasters from the 1960's. The large red buttons are a playful flair that give the piece a built in suspender look. The 3d embroidered rose is a signature element to this collection made in Hungary as well.

This piece comes from a series I created from materials sourced from independent specialty and second hand shops in the countryside and city of Hungary, my ancestral lineage. All of the details are vintage aside from some trim and buttons which were selected in Budapest. These magical pieces of wearable art are a journey through a European textile treasure hunt. The results are truly unique jackets, vests and accessories that are impossible to recreate a duplicate of. When you wear a design from this Danube Design Series you are wearing the stories of memories woven into these fibers.
